Wedding Invitations
My mother and her partner Jerry and set to be married next Summer. I’ve said I’ll do the invitations. So where do I start? Firstly asked them how many? 125...great. Next thing? Ask the printer for some samples and a rough estimate. Here’s the spec.
- 125 x A6 double sided
- 2 colour invites on a nice uncoated board
- 400gsm
I fancy doing something different. Something Original. Is this the right time to be experimenting though? Flickr’s a great source for inspiration. More pictures after the jump!

Dreamweaver to Textmate
Three months ago I decided that Its time for me to move over from Dreamweaver code panel to Textmate. I only use Dreamweaver because I’m so familiar with it and Macromedia (adobe) products. Here are my thoughts over the last few months in lovely list form.

Marie Curie cancer care
On Saturday I did a sponsored event to raise money doing a BIGZIP across the quays. Marie Curie Nurses provide free nursing care to cancer patients and those with other terminal illnesses in their own homes. You can read more about the good work Marie Curie are doing by clicking here. Thanks to everyone that sponsored me.

Back with a flash
One of my targets over the next few months is to get back into flash. When I first got into web design, flash was my tool of choice. It was basic actionscript before html. Not really the right way. I soon saw the light and focused my time on learning html. Unfortunately my Flash skills got left in the cold. Learning CSS and how to use web standards took priority.
Since then Flash seems to have really moved on. Such as Actionscript 3 and even bloody effect filters. It makes me envious when I see a really slick well designed site in flash using the tool in the right way.
