The weather has been backward in the UK so far this summer, cold when it should have been sunny and visa versa. However I finally made my peace with Mr.Sunshine after he decided to open his curtains and share last weekend. Which was lucky because on Friday I went camping once again. I went to Glastonbury a month ago and was disappointed to say the least. The weather is pretty god damn important in my book, I don’t care what anyone says.

Global gathering

So Last weekend I was at Global gathering. The biggest dance music festival in Britain. I’m pleased to announce I had a great time. It wasn’t until Thursday that I knew i was going. I got a free ticket through Jon at Flame, thanks Jon.

The Highlight of the weekend has got to be blagging my way onto the stage during 2manydj’s showing my Flame Digital business card and using a very suspect Belgian accent (Terry henry my inspiration......Vavaavoooom, he’s French). I did have to scale one metal fence though. I would have got a beating If i was caught.

I came back feeling refreshed and I even caught a little of the sun. Its brilliant to just get away from all the computers whilst getting completely full of mud. I’ve got to do it all again at the end of August again at Leeds Festival. We are going to be there for 5 days. I’ve got a feeling I’ll be done for the summer after that. But I’m not done just yet, this weekend I’m taking a well deserved week off to completely relax. Probably the first week I’ve had off this year.

Ibiza

On Saturday me and my charming girlfriend are off to Ibiza. We tried to get a cheap deal. I booked the time off work and then we waited patiently. Word of warning, cheap package deals do not exist no more. In the end we got a reasonable deal. Ibiza is know for the party, I’ll be going flat out at least one night. Its not going to be a crazy mad week, more like cold ciders on the beach reading the paper and getting a crisp suntan. No web sites to finish, no nothing. Fabulous. I feel like I can do some relaxing now I’ve tasted a little at Global last weekend. Anyhow I’ve not just been sitting in tents the last few weeks.

Projects

The Flame Digital site is nearly done, 95%. I started working for Flame Digital 2 years ago and they even had a “new site countdown” even then. Flame Digital can finally start getting some exposure. I’ve also been working on a book cover. Its called Apache Ant recipes for web developers. I’ll post that on here very shortly. People are still yet to come across this site. I’m glad though because I still looks pretty crap in IE. Validation is still yet to be done completely. I’ve still got lots of finishing touches to do be do before I start publicizing the site. Ibiza here I come.
